Knowing how and when to give CPR can mean the difference between life and death!
Participants can choose from three, 45-minute sessions:
Local CPR Instructors will conduct training sessions that include a brief video and individual mannequins to practice chest compression's. (No mouth-to-mouth breathing!)
Why learn CPR?
Cardiac arrests can happen to anyone at any time. Sudden cardiac arrest occurs when electrical impulses in the heart become rapid or chaotic, which causes the heart to suddenly stop beating.
According to the American Heart Association:
Hands-Only CPR Can Save Lives.
Most people who experience cardiac arrest that are at home, work, or in a public location die because they don't receive immediate CPR from someone on the scene.
Over 350,000 out-of-hospital sudden cardiac arrests occur annually, and 88 percent of cardiac arrests occur at home.
Many victims appear healthy with no known heart disease or other risk factors.
This Hands-Only™ CPR training was made possible by a partnership with Saint Luke’s East Hospital, Blue Springs Fieldhouse and Central Jackson County Fire Protection.
