  1. C2 Neighborhood Meeting - Business Community / A possible quorum of the City Council may attend the C2 Area Plan meetings. The meetings are held in compliance with the State of Missouri's Open Meeting Laws.

    July 25, 2017, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

    Community Development will host three public forums between July 25 and July 27 to allow residents, business owners and community members the chance to give input for the development of the Specific Area Plan for the C2 neighborhood. The C2 neighborhood spans the area east of Highway 7 between Interstate 70 and Moreland School Road. The City will hold a series of public discussions to begin a Community Dialogue and seek input for a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, & Threats) Analysis. The public sessions are: • Businesses Community – July 25, 4-6 p.m., Adams Pointe Golf Club, 1601 NE R. D. Mize Road • Residents (Focusing on Area North of Highway AA) – July 25, 6:30-8 p.m., Adams Pointe Golf Club, 1601 NE R. D.   5. Free Community Mental Health First Aid Training - Limited Class Space

    On Friday, July 28 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Howard L. Brown Public Safety Building located at 1100 SW Smith Street, the City of Blue Springs in partnership with FirstCall will be offering a free Mental Health First Aid training. This groundbreaking 8-hour training course gives people the tools to identify when someone might be struggling with a mental health or substance use problem and to connect them with appropriate support and resources when necessary.     12 week program consists of 4 weeks of practices and an 8 week season with games being held on Saturdays. Players receive team shirts and mouth guard. Footballs and flags will be provided to each team. Divisions are K-1st, 2nd-3rd, 4th-5th, 6th-7th grades.
